Street 101

An online street photography course, held over 12 Weeks

12-week course/ mentorship -

Online Program, 28th Aug - 20th Nov 2023

Commencing in the final week of August 2023, this 12-week online course and mentorship program will develop your knowledge and skills in the practice of street photography. Each week will focus on a particular skill or aspect of street photography that will consolidate your confidence, repertoire, and vision as a photographer.

This course is designed to be a mix of practical and theory, with lessons and shooting assignments each week. Unlike many other photography workshops, you will be working towards specific learning outcomes at your own pace, in your own city. You will engage in group lessons that harness the Socratic method, while also receiving individual instruction from your tutor. The curriculum will draw upon the history and theory of street photography, and offer practical advice on how to apply this learning on the streets. You will also be given access to specifically chosen course readings and resources, and will receive expert advice and feedback throughout the duration of the course.

“As well as being an awarded and globally celebrated street photographer, I am a confident and qualified educator, having completed my Master’s degree from The University of Sydney in Teaching, and going on to lead workshops around Australia and overseas. I believe in fostering a culture of constructive and practical learning.”
